If you are talking about the main road up from Keeler, it is steep, but usually maintained for a 2wd sedan.
If you are talking about the 4wd road that starts in Swansea, it is definitely 4wd in places, and steep. The road is fairly easy to find, what with all the road closed signs littering every side trail off the main one....(this last sentence relayed from a friend)
