The DV Morning Report forcast for tomorrow is 110F. It appears that the average temp around the beginning of Oct. is about 100F. Expect that or warmer, but be prepared for a range (especially if driving to higher elevations). Drink water frequently, don't wait to feel thirsty! Because perspiration evaporates nearly instantly, you really aren't aware of how much water you lose. The Visitor's center is definitely the best place to start (if nothing else, to find out current road conditions). But I might suggest for first time visitors, Bad Water (walk out a little ways onto the salt flat), Golden Canyon, and Artists Drive. What roads are you entering/exiting the part via? To really experience DV take many days (and really needs a 4WD vehicle). Art
