You're basically stuck with Furnace Creek's eating establishments unless you're willing to drive a bit.

You could go to Beatty, although I'm not sure if anything there would fit your criteria about being "quaint."

About the closest I could recommend toward that criteria would be Panamint Springs. I had breakfast there a few months ago and was impressed by the food and ambience (I have driven by it countless times over the years and had never set foot into the place). Nice views if you select to dine on the patio facing east. You might hit the place later in the morning, as I did, and have the place more or less to yourself.
