I thought WE were getting married! I guess you changed your mind. Oh well. The Panamint Springs Resort is a nice place, but I'm not sure you can get anything there under $40. However, the resort has a relatively cheap campground right across the highway. The only place near there that might be cheaper than the resort would be outside the park in Lone Pine, Calif. or Beatty, Nevada. I have stayed in Beatty at two places right around $40. But I've found if you are spending more than one night outside the park, you spend some money just in gas to get back to where you want to go in DV. Have fun, even though you're getting married to someone else!
