Lowest place in the Western Hemisphere

Somewhere down on the Badwater Flats is the lowest place in the United States at 282 feet below sea level. I have heard that two surveys have been made at two different locations, both at -282 feet. Does anyone know if these areas are marked by monument or survey marker and/or where precisely these places are located?
