You can't drive to Telescope Peak, but you can drive to the trailhead at Mahogany Flats, at an elevation of 8200 feet -- the highest spot in the Park that can be reached by a vehicle.

There is a gated service road at Mahogany Flats that goes to the radio transmitters atop Rogers Mountain, Telescope Peak's neighbor to the north, but this is not generally accessible to the public.

From Mahogany Flats you can hike the Telescope Peak trail for only about ten minutes before grand panoramas begin to unfold -- well worth the brief walk.
