It's kind of strange to read the not so successful attempts at witty humor in some of the photo captions in the article. Having followed this board for a couple of years now, it seems to me that most people here have a VERY deep revere for DV and the desert in general. Even when people are complaining about BLM, NPS or other things it seems to come from a tremendous respect and love for the awsome nature of the place itself and the others who share those feelings. Of course I can't speak for others, and I assume that some, most or all on the MT Mag team also share this love of the place, but the stereotypical overly sensational article seems strangely out of place when read in context with this board. Kind of like somebody talking about your hometown when they don't really know what it's all about. Sorry if this is kind of sappy but I couldn't help but notice the difference. My hat's off to those who know....
