As usual, DVtalk is a fount of information! I definitely will try to get those pubs! Everytime we look at an old mine, I always wonder where the water comes from, and was it really safe to drink? And even when they had a spring near the mine, how far did they have to go to the next water source? Then you also wonder about the wildlife, and how it affects them? I'm always amazed at the folks and critters who survived out here without the quick escape of a car.
