springs in the DV region
Posted by wyethia mollis on 21:09:13 03/10/10

Hi, I looked through the archives and didn't find the answer to my question- Is there any info - book or website- out there on the water quality of springs in the backcountry- I know some have mineral content that make them unpalatable or worse, but I'm curious as to which ones and how bad. A google gave me the website below, which is interesting, but not very specific. I don't intend to depend on local water sources, (Tecopa hot springs- no thanks!) but water sources are a big part of the history of the area, so it would be interesting to know more.
