yeah, wind and tents- one time we ended up taking down the tent in a howling gale, moving to a "sheltered" spot as the wind increased, and slept in the bed of our pickup. we have a heavy double bag that weighs 18 pounds. even in a ravine and with the pickup bed protecting us, we had to hold down the top of the bag to keep it from flapping away- good thing it wasn't really cold...
