What some folks do is take the smallest Coleman-type tent pop-up camper, flip the axle over, put a pintle hitch on the front, and maybe add some reinforcements to the corners and "rockers". You can pick up those cheap pop-up campers for little or nothing off of Craigslist. It's not as good as a "real" offroad camper because it's a wooden box and it's not all that sturdy, drag it around the rocks a bit and it'll turn into splinters, but if fall you want to do is haul it out to Saline it'll do that just fine as long as you stay away from the Steel Pass road ;).
