Cars and RV s are going in the south pass but no one was going out yet, they all planned on staying a few weeks. The springs are quiet and there was only less than 10 people total at the springs for the week I was there.

I went in Steele pass no problems two weeks ago but not recommended for anyone who does not have 4wd experience and short wheel base and high clearance is needed. I went out Lippincott last Monday 3/1 it has been recently graded and was in good condition for Lippincot but again only attempt Lippincot if you have 4wd experience and a short wheel base and high clearance.

Two people came in the South pass while I was at the spring and a few were coming in the day I was leaving from the South Pass but all are planning on staying a few weeks. Since the grapevine and top is sludgy and muddy and the top of the pass has alot of snow drifts covering the road.

I passed a truck with a camper last monday who came in the south pass he said South Pass was very messy and it would be tough to go out that way. I also passed a subaru outback but didn't talk to him.

I also talked to a toyota truck on the first mile of lipponcott who came in the south pass he said it was very sludgy and muddy and all cars would probably have a problem pulling up the hill But he said I could probably make it in my Jeep XJ with chains. He also said he tried Hunter Mountain but got stuck high centered in snow and had to turn around. He was going to the racetrack.
