Which canyons can you LEGALLY go up until you get to China Lake? Water, Bendire, Shepherd, Revenue, Knight, and Jack Gunn are all legally closed since they are within the Argus Wilderness. The only canyons that you can drive a motorized vehicle in legally that takes you right up to base property that I can think of off the top of my head are Crow Canyon, Homewood, and the one between Shepherd and Kopper King shown in the picture.
