When we heard the helicopter, we turned on our HT and monitored the BLM and NPS freq and learned about the accident and such... from hearing the chatter on the radio, it was pretty confusing at first... no need to get in details for what is already posted is pretty accurate.
Chicken Rock did sustain some damage and when we crossed over it Saturday, it was tight. In fact, we piled some rocks for the Land Rover.
I've attached some picturs of Chicken Rock and the vehicle involved. Yes, we came across it being winched out Saturday.
From what we gathered, all will be okay.
