I believe that road past Myers Ranch is closed to vehicles by the Park Service anyway but you could still hike it. In the "old days" it conected to the Wingate Wash road, but all that area is now part of the military range and is closed to everyone. The east end of the Wingate Wash road is another winderness area that is also closed to vehicles.
