I doubt a trip up Goler would do much good. We were part of a search team in March, The van was found down Anvil Springs Canyon and it is now a closed to vehicles wilderness area. I'm sure the search area is a good 10 mile hike from where the closed area starts. They aren't going to release the exact location until they complete their work so the "south and east of Goler" is like saying "near Los Angeles"
