I just went up Lippincott a few months ago in my Dodge Cummins. It's a piece of cake. As true 4x4 roads can go, Lippincott is fairly mild. Going down is doable in almost anything. I have witnessed a plumber's 2wd Econoline 150 go down, I once followed a rental Oldsmobile Delta 88 go down. Going up, low gears are nice, 4wd highly recommended. Though I do remember watching a VW van, the older type pre 1972, go up with ease.
