I agree with lilRed Jeep, the low tire pressure will be better for the washboards on both sides of Lippencot.

That said, when I wheel my D2 in Death Valley -- I drop down to between 18 - 20' in pressure -- you need to check it out occassionally cause as the tires warm up and the elevation changes take place the pressure will vary. I have 16" rims (not the 18's some D2's came with) and tires with a strong sidewall (BFG MT's). If you have 18's, you probaby can't go so low and will ding the heck out em anyway.
