Red Hat,
My guess is that you can't because of a peak just 4.36 miles away from the summit of Stripped Butte on a bearing of 74.1 degrees TN. A bearing that would block the view of Mount Charleston. Unfortunately Mount Charleston is on a bearing of 73.5 degrees TN from the summit of Stripped Butte and is at distance of 80.15 miles. The difference in height between Stripped Butte and the blocking peak is only 466 ft but just enough to block the distant peak. Of course, the summit of Stripped Butte is an elongated ridge so maybe from one end of the ridge or the other one could see around the blockage and view Mount Charleston. How is that for "and on the other hand." If you could see Mount Charleston from Stripped Butte that would mean you could look at both the Strip and the Strippe from Mount Charleston.
