Never been up Sripped Butte but you can see Mt. Charleston from most of the Panamint crest. It's way too close for curvature of the earth to matter.

Once under superb viewing conditions I believe I saw snowy Wheeler Peak from Telescop. Now that's starting to get up to the curvature limit!
