I agree with most of what you said. Yet I don't think people got too out of hand, in the instance you cite. People just showed their passion. It's the personal attacks that should be dealt with, (with a public warning to the poster) not the underlying concepts or opinions. This how it is handled on other boards.

The posting entitled "More B.S. from Castle" is a good example of a personal attack, the title was allowed to stand, and nothing was said or done by the moderators. It's one thing to differ in opinions, it's another to start denigrating someone, simply because you disagree with them.
