The Eastern California Museum has some good pics. Great pic of mules carrying the cable. Trouble is that only gets to the hill - doesn't get the cable onto the towers etc. I don't know how they did the trams but when cable logging you first pull a light cable (strawline)where you want your main weight bearing cable (skyline or mainline)to go, this goes through a block then goes back to your yarder (engine and drum). You then attach your heavy cable to the strawline and use it to pull it up (or down) the hill. Sounds simple but is difficult and can be dangerous.
