Just be glad someone even reports road conditions, most remote places never get road reports, Saline usually is the exception.

Take along more than enough of everything, and keep Lee stocked up with food and stuff in case there is an emergency.

Paperback books are always welcome, TP and pool sanitizing materials as well.

Potluck dinners are never a bad idea, either. Invite your fellow desert dwellers!
