Very valid point regarding checking out current road conditions. I can provide a couple of first hand updates. It may change from day to day this time of year. On Saturday, the 19th, we took Swansea Grade to Cerro Cordo. Some of us went out Yellow Grade, I came down the back side. Camped near the top Saturday night. I was the first down the hill since the recent rains; there was a lot of rain gullies in the road, but nothing extremem. Sunday, came down the rest of the way - Lee Flat and Saline Valley road was fine, however more rain may have come in Sunday night. I know Ridgecrest got slammed Sunday night. After a stop for a burger at PSR, I headed up to Mahogany Flat. The weather looked threatening, but Mahogany would not have a danger of flooding, even if we were to get wet. Early evening, the skies cleared, we had wonderful views of stars and moon, and no rain. In the morning, the clouds came in low and heavy, but it didn't rain. So as of Monday am, Mahogony road was ok. David Bricker / SYR
