LOL, I'm sure you'll get even more solitude than usual when you hang out in DV this time of year! My biggest problem would be that I wouldn't be able to sleep at night in that heat. I'd have to drive up to someplace like Hunter Mt. or North Pass.

I'm beginning to think all the talk about perpetual rain in Washington is just hold down tourism and migration! I spent six weeks there (at McChord AFB) in the summer of 2005. As I remember it, it was rainy the first three weeks or so but then it dried out and was just beautiful. I was there again in April/May 2006 and it was very nice much of the time. Anyway, from what I saw, the rain up there isn't so bad, at least it's not torrential downpours of horizontal rain.
