I'm confused too, I don't see the closures on any official source.
Below is a link to the Caltrans site, you can look up numbered highways in CA. In my experience this is very reliable.
As Desert Dog said, the Morning Report on the DVNP site is another good resource for info on roads in and near the park. Go to www.nps.gov/deva/ and look for it in the Quicklinks list.
Finally, though I love DVNP and the Mojave in general, I sure as heck don't go there this time of year!!
