Calif Fires and Death Valley side note

Hi All,

I have been monitoring the California Fires Via the MODIS satellite imager.

I've noticed that Death Valley has "active fires" plotted most of the time.
I know that there isnt any wildland fires going on there so......

It must be picking up individual campfires!!! Notice how they are spread around the perimeter of the valley.. I found it amusing and amazing at the same time.
