I remember a time when I was in college with little money and wanted to get every last bit out of my battery. I usually tried to find a parking place on a hill, just uphill from a driveway. Having a driveway in front of my car meant that I could avoid being parked in by other cars, and just coast out of my parking place and start my run down the hill before popping the clutch. I have had automatics for many years now, but I still wish I had the ability to push start when I am parked in a remote location with no other vehicles around. I do take one of those jumper batteries with me now though.
