The new X is bigger and faster than the old one. Less gas mileage is the trade off. Lifting it an inch or two is not expensive or difficult and will get you up 98% of the roads in DV just fine. I just got the Frontier and suggest that you get the six speed manual with the off road package.....locking rear diff....you can't go wrong.
